It is time to create new social science departments that reflect the breadth and complexity of the problems we face as well as the novelty of 21st-century science.
One of the topics I am researching diligently is dialogue in collaborative virtual environments. Alexander Christakis along with Kenneth Bausch wrote, How People Harness their Collective Wisdom and Power to Construct the Future in Co-Laboratories of Democracy.
How nice to see Alexander’s son Niicholas from Yale University write this piece in the New York Times today calling for interdisciplinary programs in the social sciences. Why? To better solve wicked problems in our complex world. Networked Science. Coming to a CVE near you soon.
